For the first time ever, join me “behind the scenes” at my iconic salon in Los Angeles and learn how to groom the JRG way using my signature energy techniques! You’ll spend the day with me and some of my staff learning our entire process, from bathing, to drying, to grooming. Got a question about technique, products, or tools? Ask and it shall be answered! This will be a holistic lesson. You can watch, or do hands-on work yourself while we guide you.
We’ll be covering everything that goes into creating a gorgeous dog from start to finish while keeping the focus on the energetics of how we work with the dogs…

Why come “do” this energy course in-person?

What will we get up to that day?
My team and I will be guiding the students in groups of 5 throughout the grooming process. We’re going to cover:
- Bathing
Be guided through the JRG bathing process, which includes those important handling techniques that are key to setting up a calm dog from the start of the groom.
- Drying & Prep Work
Prep work is the basis to a gorgeous haircut, and creating a comfortable environment for the dog while working on their blowout is essential to calm their energy. These techniques set the groomer up for a calm dog during the haircut.
- Grooming & Energy
We’ll guide you through the whole grooming process with an emphasis on Jess’s signature energy and handling techniques.
From calming a hyper dog, to properly asserting yourself so each dog trusts you, we will show you how to implement many ways to create a calm dog in the salon.
…. and obviously, hanging out and getting to know like-minded groomers will be spectacular 🍾🥂
